Em seguida, \u00e0s 19h, haver\u00e1 cerim\u00f4nia na pra\u00e7a Her\u00f3doto, no primeiro piso do&nbsp; Cadima Shopping, um dos empreendimentos idealizados por ele. A homenagem ter\u00e1 ainda a participa\u00e7\u00e3o especial do coral Allons Chanter, da Alian\u00e7a Francesa de Nova Friburgo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>O saudoso Her\u00f3doto Bento de Mello foi prefeito de Nova Friburgo em quatro mandatos. O \u00faltimo em 2008, cargo que exerceu at\u00e9 2010, do qual se afastou ap\u00f3s sofrer um acidente em uma esta\u00e7\u00e3o ferrovi\u00e1ria na Su\u00ed\u00e7a. O ex-prefeito faleceu na casa de familiares, no dia 29 de abril de 2018, em Londrina-PR, onde convalecia. Al\u00e9m disso, tamb\u00e9m foi vereador, deputado estadual, diretor geral do Departamento de Estradas de Rodagem (DER-RJ), e empres\u00e1rio na \u00e1rea de constru\u00e7\u00e3o civil e com\u00e9rcio de materiais de constru\u00e7\u00e3o. Foi propriet\u00e1rio da antiga loja Cadima, que deu lugar ao shopping de mesmo nome. Teve atua\u00e7\u00e3o marcante a frente da construtora Sotec e foi em sua gest\u00e3o no DER que Nova Friburgo ganhou a constru\u00e7\u00e3o do viaduto Geremias de Mattos Fontes, que completou meio s\u00e9culo recentemente.
